Planning the 2005–2006 school year
Most US schools start between early August and early September and finish in late May or June, but the exact dates are set by each district. Copy the first and last day, winter and spring breaks, and teacher workdays from your district calendar.
Federal holidays such as Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King Jr. Day are already marked. Many schools also close on the day after Thanksgiving and for a week or two around Christmas and New Year.
