How a perpetual calendar works

A perpetual calendar leaves out weekdays, so a date like March 14 is on the same line every year. It is ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, yearly maintenance and renewal dates.

To find the weekday of a date in a given year, use the year table below: the calendar repeats in a 28-year cycle within a century, and every year starts on one of seven weekdays.

Which weekday each year starts on

Leap years are marked with an asterisk: their months from March onward start one weekday later than a common year that begins on the same day.
