Common shift patterns

4 on 4 off: DDNN---- (two days, two nights, four off). 2-2-3, also called the Panama schedule: DD--DDD--DD--- over fourteen days. DuPont: NNNN---DDD-NNN---DDDD------- over four weeks. 24 on 48 off for firefighters: D--. A standard Monday to Friday week: DDDDD--.

Use one letter for each kind of shift and a dash for a day off. The pattern repeats forever from the start date, so the calendar stays right for every month you print.
