Daylight saving time in the US and Canada starts on the second Sunday of March, when clocks move forward one hour at 2:00 a.m., and ends on the first Sunday of November. Hawaii and most of Arizona do not change their clocks.
Daylight Saving Time 2027 falls on Sunday, March 14.
Is Daylight Saving Time a federal holiday?
No. Daylight Saving Time is not a federal holiday in the US, so government offices, banks and schools follow their normal schedule unless they choose otherwise.
Why does the date of Daylight Saving Time change each year?
It is set by a rule rather than a fixed date: second Sunday of March to first Sunday of November. The day of the month moves each year to keep that weekday.
