How biweekly pay works
With biweekly pay, employees are paid every other week, usually on a Friday, which gives 26 paydays in most years and 27 in some. Months with three paydays happen twice in most years and are worth planning for in a budget.
When a payday falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, most employers pay on the business day before. The calendar and the list below already move those paydays; check your employer's own rule.
